A short film that visually depicts a powerful exploration of the project’s findings, brought to life through in-person interviews with a diverse group of participants including researchers, Beth Tupara-Katene and Te Pūoho Kātene; tohunga, Nick Tupara, Mark Kopua, and Derek Lardelli; commercial fisher, Ken Houkamau; waka ama enthusiast, Walton Walker; and featured artists Erena Koopu, and Rina and Tai Kerekere.

Structured around the Ngā Pae Moana – the film delves into the vision of Tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi-led marine governance. The design principles of Tatai Hono (interconnectedness), Tauutuutu (reciprocity), Mana (Self-determination), Taurite (acknowledgement of mātauranga Māori and tikanga Māori, Ngāhue (Prosperity), and Toipoto (local decision-making). These principles are explored further by talking with toi, tikanga, ta moko experts as well as those who actively have a relationship with the moana
