Event programme

Uhi Tai is a three-day exhibition and toi Māori expression of the research findings from the Tangaroa Ararau project, reimagining a marine governance regime with the ocean at the heart of decision-making.

Free and open to the public from 19 – 21 June, between 8 am to 4 pm daily, we invite you to explore our curated display of mahi toi (Māori art) specifically crafted for this kaupapa, across a variety of mixed media, including video, audio, print, paint, sculpture, waiata, taonga puoro, tāmoko, weaving, and carving.

Alongside the exhibition, we will be delivering a series of wānanga and live demonstrations to deepen the understanding of the project’s key themes. These workshops are held concurrently within the exhibition space and are available by registration only. Ensure you reserve your spot early to participate in the kōrero.
